Does anyone have info on this program? Seems they have a new coach (from USF) and a new facility being built.

Amazing school, campus and folks with plenty of energy. Baseball facilities have all been upgraded and they just broke ground on a new $2million club house. Assistant coaches are tireless recruiters and the head coach is one of the top pitching coaches around.
PM me if you'd like more information.

Looking at their roster they seem to like kids from the northeast. 5 NJ 7NY a CT.... being from the Northeast you have to like seeing a southern school that seems to value athletes from the Notheast!! Coach Merc...how many of them played for you? A bet quite a few!

It might be more common than you might think. The best programs want the best players and they don't care where they come from. North Carolina recuits heavily from the north and northeast with recent players Tim Federov, Colin Bates, Brian Moran, and Matt Harvey. My son's alma mater Coastal Carolina which is in the same conference as HP also recruits heavily from the north and northeast. Kentucky is an SEC school that does much of its recruiting north of the mason-dixon line. A talented northern player who recieves proper exposure can indeed find a home in the south.

The campus is gorgeous. Shiny, spotless kind of gorgeous. And the facility is extremely nice. Don't know as much about the new coaching staff, but the program has traditionally recruited players from the Northeast.
