Anybody have info? I know they're D2 and use wood. Pros and cons? I see they did well last year. Are there any transfer rules that pertain to D2 for a player who has not yet used eligibility? Thanks.

SIU-E has had some success in the past. There head coach has been very stable there. They have a very good pitching coach who gets the most out of their pitchers, they have been real good on the mound. They also have a new vol. asst. who is real good with hitters. He was an assistant at Forest Park C.C. for the past five years.
Not sure on transfer rules at the DII level, I would contact the baseball office and check with them.

Not positive, but I believe that I've heard the Cougars are jumping up to DI here in the next few years.

They have a pretty nice facility right on the edge of campus.

Soild program. My son is at NKU and I was fortunate enought to watch SIUE play abput 7 games last year. Two of their top pitchers graduated but they were solid as a team. It is a good solid conference with 14 teams. The Conference champion gets an automatic birth into the NCAA tournament and last year there were 4 teams from the conference out of the 32 teams that get a birth to the tournament. There are no transfer restrictions as far as players having to sit out a year, they transfer and play
