I did a search but did not find much. I know they are a D1 in the MAAC conference. Any information about the team, players, coaches, and the school would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know much, personally, about the program, but I know of several kids going there who were fabulous HS players and who turned down great opportunities, including Harvard and Yale, to play ball at Niagara. It must have something going for it.

I have watched them for several years. Ai one time I knew about 1/3 of the players.
The conference is not real strong but some good ball players do go there. The education is very good according to some very smart students who transfered there from other D1s because of the education.
I ususally watch them when they face off against Canisius as they have a rivalry going on. Canisius's HC is the former Niagara HC. Both teams are loaded with guys I knew so it is fun to watch and say hello to the players and parents whom I would otherwise not see.

My son, now a freshman at Niagara, was recruited by numerous schools throughout the mid atlantic area and chose Niagara for numerous reasons, but a few reasons standout. We visitied the campus during one of their fall showcase/clinic events, after a personal invitation by the head coach, Niagara's Assistant coach saw my son at a Blue-Grey event at wake Forest. The rest is history or should I say a new beginning.

It was a great choice. Great school, excellent coaches and very competitive baseball. From what I saw following MAAC baseball last spring, the conference is very competitive. They split a 4 game series with Cinncinatti. That should serve to illustrate how competitive MAAC teams can be. Look at the out-of-conference games that and then compare. if you want to email me I will be glad to share my personal experiences throughtout the recruiting process. it was a challengig but fun ride.

Right now, my son is a freshman and the coaches are working his butt off. He is being challeged more than he ever has been before. Coach Ski is a no nonsense guy, very disciplined. He's a VMI grad and past Assistant Coach for VMI. He has a top notch assistant, too. So far, I'm very impressed. The small school environment is an ideal fit for my son. By the way he likes the ratio of women to men. he lives in a dorn with 7 floors and 5 floors are women HAHA. Hopefully that won't be a distraction HAHA

Coach Ski recruited my son, but he signed with Buffalo instead. Great guy. The team is decent and the facilities are OK, but not on campus. They play a few miles off campus at Sal Maglie field at Hyde Park Stadium. Nice park, but not too hitter friendly. Lots of incoming wind. They have a nice practice field right on campus though.
