My son ('09) is in the same boat, having had some interest from the coach. We have not visited the campus yet.

Based on our research, we are very impressed with the school and the baseball program. The coach has been at RH a long time, and is also the AD. It doesn't look like he is using this job as a stepping stone. All they seem to do is win consistently. I have been impressed with everything I have read, and with the communication from the coach. I have heard from people who have visited that the facilities are top notch for DIII.

On the academic side, this is a great school. My greatest concern is the lack of alternatives for my son if determines that science/math/engineering isn't the direction he wants to head.

We would also be interested in hearing from others who know about this program.

Will be happy to share info with you DCBa after my son talks to the coach.

It ends up that I work with a couple of recent grads from RH. Neither of them played sports, but both held out a lot of respect for anyone that can play and meet the academic expectations. Since the whole team is in the same boat, he is supportive of the effort needed to succeed in the classroom. One of them can put my son in touch with a recent ball player.

They both mentioned that merit aid always seems to be found for the right players.

Rose Hulman is one of the most respected Engineering schools in the country. They carried a 100% job placement for years although I am not sure that is still the case.

Beautiful campus, athletic are always competitive but secondary to learning.

Son's interview with the coach went well. It's convinced son that we need to make a visit to RH instead of another college on his list.

One thing he learned that we didn't see on the website is RH has a JV program.

My son also had a great visit last week with the coach, and also wants to visit the campus.

I talked with the father of a DIII volleyball player, and he was at Rose Hulman this fall for a tournament. He toured the campus with his '09 football son and they raved about the baseball field, and the athletic facilities in general.

If you look at the baseball team's record since Coach Jenkins arrived, they have been so consistent. At this point, very impressive.
