Mine likes the Rawlings Pro Preferred. He uses an 11.25 at 3rd and short, but I am sure the 11.5 will work great at 2nd.

Floridafan....ditto on the Pro Prefered glove! My son loves this glove!

He actually now only uses it when he is on the mound.

Believe it or not, he now uses a Roy Hobbs glove when playing at 3rd. When we went and looked for gloves to use at 3rd, he fell in love with this glove. It came already pre "broke-in" and just melted onto his hand.

I have a Mizuno 11.5 inch T-Web glove I would like to sell if anybody is interested. It is the Chipper Jones model and pratically brand new for it's age. It never got much use. It still needs to be broken in some. Make me a decent offer and pay for shipping and it is yours.

It is the same glove they have been selling for years. Compares to the GMP6.

I reccomend an 11.5 Kelley or Pinckard. Excellent gloves. The break-in time, mightbe a little longer, but the feel and durability you get are unmatched. For 2B, I would get the kelley ES741.

fyi, Pinckard is a small operation, when you call you talk to Bill Pinckard himself ...so dont be turned off by what looks like a small time website.

What's the best college program to wear this glove? Smile

I heard the Wilson A2000 1787-BT 11 3/4 glove is the best for 3rd base and what all the semi-pro and pro players use. 11 3/4 is ideal for 3rd base to be able to get balls down the line on a dive and for maximum fit and performance. Please advise!

The experts say the smaller the better for quicker transfer, 10.75 to 11.25

SS best at 11.00 to 11.25

3B 11.5 TO 12.0

well then i wonder if 11.75 is too big for 3rd even though you show 11.5 to 12.0. i've asked baseball colleagues of mine and they say it's changing and unlike it used to be when we played...

As I stated above mine uses a 11.25 Pro Preferred at 3rd. He has for the past 2 years and will use the same glove as he moves to SS this year. I am sure that it really helps out with the swinging bunt type slow rollers or hard bouncing grounders that require him to charge hard and make a quick throw.

done tons of research and found that most 3rd baseman use an 11.75 Wilson. I also heard that players DO NOT LIKE the new A2K gloves. Those are the $299.00 gloves. Pro's will not wear them unless on a Wilson Contract and even then they are talking their suppliers into letting them go back to the A2000 legacy models with tougher cowhide. There are very few 3rd baseman using anything bigger than a 11.75,,,one being A-ROD. His is huge but so is A-Rod. Jeter and A-ROD are huge infielders as a rule (A-ROD 6'4" and Jeter 6'3"). Jeter uses a 11.75 someone told me but I haven't been able to verify this yet. I am looking at some photos and should be able to tell very soon.
