My son played for head coach Chris Finwood for two years while he was the assistant coach at Auburn University. My son really liked him and his no nonsense approach to coaching. ----- Coach Finwood has brought his style of coaching to Bowling Green and made WKU a force to be reckoned with. good

I noticed a couple of his assistant coaches just recently left WKU for asst positions elsewhere . Any reasons why ?

Only a guess but I would have to say $$$$$$$$. With WKU being a mid major I am not sure that they have the funds to pay the assistant coaching salaries of larger schools.

I tend to agree with cbg. Not sure than anyone "knows" (or says) why assistant coaches leave but the success of WKU last year makes the assistant and the head coach very marketable. The vast majority of assistant coaches are always looking to move.

No coaching problems at WKU, 1 assistant took head baseball job and AD at a HS in his hometown after they had a second child and the other took a fulltime assistants job(was volunteer assistant) at Bradley. Coach finwood does a great job and the hilltoppers should be at the top of the sunbelt this year returning all their starters except cf and the entire weekend staff. wku won the sunbelt tourney in 08

Fungo's right. Turnover with collegiate baseball asst coaches is pretty much the norm.
