I just took a visit to Washington & Lee University this past week. The campus was very nice and the facilities were top notch for a D III program. Is there anything else that I should know about the program? Personal Experiences? Coach?

The school is VERY pricey...facilities are better than many D-I schools. If you are looking for a great education along with a big network of alumni...and can afford the tuition, you'll be set.
From my son playing against them, the coach seems to keep the team on an even keel...they keep scrapping and getting after it. Seemed like a very fundamental team.

We play Coach Stickley every year at W&L, Great Guy, couldn't say enought about him. Very strong facilities. Negatives, are price, and grades to get in are unbelievable. They also work on the quarter system...so Finals are in early March I think...something like that...But very well respected and disciplined program!!
tcw_17 and LHP08MPOM, how did your visits go? Have you or will you be applying to W&L? My son was admitted early decision. Really likes Coach Stickley.

Thanks JT. He is very excited about the opportunity. Narrowed it down to about 5 schools, all with promising opportunites to play and W&L won out based primarily on academics. Looking forward to the ODAC!

I leave it to others closer to the baseball program to comment on its attributes; but, you absolutely can't go wrong with a Washington and Lee education. It's first rate!

My son visited in October too. He applied RD and has W&L at the top of his list. The school has a special feel, strong academics and a beautiful setting.
