How about the New Mexico Lobos basketball team? They have a nice looking squad this year!

"Practice."-Tiger Woods when asked what he would do after failing to make the cut at the U.S. Open.

"When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stone-cutter hammering away at his rock perhaps 100 times without as much as a crack showing. Yet at the 101st blow, it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before."

As with most Lobo teams (last year nonwithstanding) they play very well at home. The big test will once again be how they play away from the Pit. No road games until December, so I'll reserve judgement until then. They do have some nice players though with Giddens, Johnson, and Dandridge.

I wondered why the baseball kept getting bigger and bigger, and then it hit me.

Yes the Pit is a huge advantage. My cousin is now at UNM after leaving PSU and he said the difference in the crowd is unbelievable. Giddens is very good though and I have been surprised with Dandrige. K. State and Wichita State should be interesting games.

Well they beat K. State by 24. That was a huge win. Now the road games are coming up. We'll see if they can pass that test too.

Hey mtown,
Your cousin had a nice game last night for sure. A double-double for the big man. The best may be yet to come though. I can't wait to see them play the Aggies. Maybe these Lobos are up to something this year.
