Has anyone been following the playoffs

Yes. I was at the Sunrise Mountain/Pinnacle Game. When Decker came up in the ninth and went 3-0 we were very happy. Walk this guy and move on. After the next pitch was a strike, well, the parent section was begging for an intentional walk. Jaff Decker from Sunrise must have hit the ball 400 feet on a line.

I am a Pinnacle fan but that was a great game.

I only really follow 5AII closely. We have friends on the Pinnacle team and my son will go there. Looks like it will be Sunrise and Horizon in the Championship but you never know.

Horizon isn't doing to bad either for having a "down" year.

I heard Pinnacle made a good run at it this year, I also know a few players on that team...They are a good group of kids. My son play's for Mesquite in 5A1 and they have had a great run making it to the Championship game as a 15 seed.

Congrats on the championship game!! Are they going to put it on TV again this year? I would love to watch it if you have a schedule.

We have players from Mesquite and Pinnacle in our program. It's been interesting to follow their progress. The state playoffs in AZ is some of the best baseball in the country.

The 5A1 game between Mesquite and Hamilton will be televised on Cox 7 the game starts at 7:00 pm. Mesquite is definitely the underdog in this one as they have been through out the tournament as the #15 seed. My son is scheduled to make the start for Mesquite and will face a very potent 1-9 in Hamilton that has average 11.5 runs per game in the tournament so far. So, this is a David Vs Goliath scenario. Wish us luck.

I have only been able to watch parts of the game. Sorry that you lost but Mesquite made a great run. It is what makes HS baseball great. Good luck on your son's future baseball. He can bring da heat.

Thanks Doughnutman...It was a great run and even though the kids were a little dejected, I'm sure as time goes on they will take great pride in taking the best team in the state to the final out.
