How does this guy do it. He's 40 and starting his season off as good as any other year he's had if not better.
I've always wondered how he gets so much movement on his pitches. Anybody have any ideas? From what they say it's all about his finger pressure on certain parts of the ball. I've played around with this and don't ever get anymore movement. He must be one of the smartest pitchers out there.

According to an interview he watched once, Maddux's dad is a dealer (or was) in Las Vegas. Maddux said he uses theories on odds and deception, taught to him by his dad.
What ever it is, it certainly works for him!
