i saw pictures of myself pitching and when i release the ball everything looks good, my glove is up i am over my front foot but my back knee is almost dragging on the dirt(like it collapses). Is this bad and if so what are the negatives of it?

I think that is OK. Without seeing you, that would tell me you are really using your legs and whole body to throw the ball. Take a look at Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan and more recently Tim Lincecum. They all use their whole body and have their post knee close to the ground.
