Let’s be pragmatic about the question. Is it possible to become a pitcher without ever getting on the mound in a game? Do you NEED good book mechanics to be a successful pitcher, or is it enough to be able to repeat your pitching motion? I guess I’m just a little leery when someone tries to lump all coaches into either a good or bad category, or discount the importance of hard work in games it takes to become a good pitcher.
