I know at this age kids really need to focus on proper technique. Not too many detailed drills. What are some drills or exercises that a kid at this age could do for pitching. If someone wanted to learn to pitch at age 9, what would you give him to do as a workout?

Coach Yosten,
There are some very good age appropriate drills at www.completepitcher.com that include: One Knee, Bucket(chair), High **** position, quick hands, pause and balance, shadow to balance, leverage, and stride.

In addition, I would suggest the flick and, or cross legged drills to put additional emphasis on the release.

Hope these help.

Best of success in your endeavor.
