That's true, TPM, and I'm as guilty as any I suppose. On the other hand, my opinion on the OP's question is somewhere up there in the thread.

I just don't always know when to quit when the good old b.s-meter goes off-scale.

TPM,

“It got off target at reply post #8 and has gone further south since.”

Could you for me, give a critique on right where post 8# went south as I’m not quit sure where I went Laredo when my target was Chicago and I want to further avoid any misleading statements that would cause utter breakdown in someone’s responses?

Laflippin,

You need to take up your feelings with Dr.Marshall not me. All I did was take his recommendations and tried them, they worked. I also teach “traditional mechanics”. Although I do not want to anymore I still do it but all the effects are spelled out in advance to player and parents. Having a problem with someone personality like Dr.Marshall should not enter a mechanics discussion, all I do is state how I apply mechanics, I suggest you do the same but if you wish t pursue this Voodoo tact I’m going to need the color of your hair and eyes please?

YB,
I did not see where you were answering the question in your post, you may have tried.
Please go back to read Bighit's first post, he is a very smart person who knows a lot about pitching (maybenot in your terms)yet unable to understand what you were talking about (I think that he did but he was making a point).
If a young player comes asking a question, we need to try to answer, but try to answer in terms that he is familiar with in a way that he understands and makes sense. Your point made absolutely no sense, nor did many that followed.
When you add it all up what you state here may make sense on paper (and this has nothing to do with what type of mechanics you prefer to teach), just the way you present it. An example is the statement about devastation to a family when a 10 year old blows up his future.
I think that laflippin and others understood what I was getting at, I am asking you to do the same.
Please take further discussions of disdain for each other somewhere else.
Thanks again.
