I heard that college was making the change to wood bats some time around 2010. I think this would be a great idea, but is any of this true? I have heard this rumor come up before. Does anyone know anything about it?

Oh God, please please go to wooden bats. As an umpire they are just plain dangerous. I don't care what the players say.
Also, it'll slow down those ****** hits where the batter takes one off the handle into right or left fields.

Yes! Not only are they dangerous for umpires but for pitchers, too. Being 60 ft away (less after release) and a ball launching off a metal bat it's just dangerous. And We will get to see if the hitters are actually good hitters or not.
