does anybody have any experience with impact?
I'm very interested in them and i have many questions but for starters here are 2 questions:
1) How is playing time managed
2) how are the tryouts? are they really tryouts is the team already picked?

Impact has showcase events throughout the year where the players are selected for their teams from performance at these events. No the teams are not already picked. They have some of the best players in the state of NC and VA on their rosters and they are very good. Playing time is no different than on the other showcase teams around NC. Players rotate frequently. Pitchers throw 2 to 3 innings a weekend pretty much.

Good program and the Impact teams are well scouted. You can see that in their 18 year old team this season. 13 of their 19 players have given their verbal commitments to D1 programs so far this year, plus throw in a D2 and a Juco commitment and you'll get a picture. Signing schools include UNC, South Carolina, Clemson, NC State, and Arkansas.

It's very competitive to get on the team.

Impact does a good job of selecting teams especially in their fall programs... I can speak for the 18U team last summer, but playng time was rotated as evenly as possible, players got a good amount of playng time each weekend.
