Can anyone tell me about this program? I am interested in some opinions of those who may know something about the baseball program. Thank you.

Old Pitcher - I created a link of this thread to the Ask About Colleges forum. BobbleheadDoll and lhpx2 have sons who attend there (or have attended) and you may want to send them a pm.

I appreciate that CD.....I guess I overlooked that particular area of the site. I will check it out and see what they have to say. It's pretty far from Texas, but the coach seemed like a pretty good guy when he spoke with my son. Thank you for your time!

My wife and I are graduates of CSU. CSU is a small liberal arts Baptist college. We loved our time at CSU. The campus is small and intimate. Many of those who attend are people of faith. CSU is located just outside of Charleston. It is also located within a 20 to 30 minute drive to several beautiful beaches. Charleston has been voted the most friendly city in the US on several occasions.
(don't mean to sound like a tour guide!)

The baseball program has been competitive but usually ends up as a middle of the road conference type team. CSU often plays powerhouse teams like the University of South Carolina so there is opportunity to play high level teams. We were usually competitive with them. All in all, my wife and I loved our time at CSU and would highly recommend it.

Chap you got that right. My son is a JR there and loves the place.
I usually don't discuss the BB program on a public site but it is a great place.
I will say I have talked to a couple guys who are freshmen this year.
I know about 5 Canadians who have gone there and played ball and graduated. Everyone I talked to said they would live there in a heart beat.
Friendly is an understatement.

I just read yesterday that Brett Favre's daughter is a freshman at CSU. Wow! Wonder if she is an athlete there?
