I am trying to figure out what games to go watch this year and I wanted to see some really good games. Does anyone has any suggestion on teams/players to keep an eye on? Thanks for your help.

In that area:

North Forsyth, East Forsyth, NE Guilford, Ragsdale, Hillsborough-Orange, all of the teams in Alamance County area are traditionally strong, Travel down the road to Salisbury and catch West Rowan, In High Point, go see Wesleyan play. I think RJR will be good.

Also in that area you can see some good college games if you just like baseball in general. You have Greenboro College, UNCG, High Point and within an hours drive Elon, Catawaba and Pfeiffer.

It's not so much who they have that is stellar, it's how little they lost.

The only key player I can remember graduating last season from RJR was Austin Boehme who is now at Elon.

RJR should return a solid ball club ... I don't know if they are "world beaters", but the should be good (not great).

There are plenty of good high school baseball teams in and around Greensboro / Guilford County. This year, the strongest teams will likely be NW Guilford, NE Guilford, Ragsdale, SW Guilford, Page, Western Guilford and Wesleyan Academy (in no particular order). To the west in Forsyth County, several more quality programs including East Forsyth, West Forsyth, North Forsyth, RJR and Glenn. Too many good players to name without leaving out some that would deserve mentioning. On any given day of the week, you should be able to see some great match-ups. While it's not the best rag for high school baseball coverage, the Greensboro News & Record does provide a schedule of upcoming games on a daily basis.

If you want to see a very fundamentally sound team with an outstanding coach, you need to watch West Stokes in King, NC. They have only 2 seniors, but are loaded with Sophomores and Freshmen. They have 5 quality pitchers and the whole line-up can hit a ton. Definetly a team to watch. I believe they play at McMichael on March 19. They have already beaten N. Forsyth, S. Stokes and Ledford.

Parkland VS Reagen jv baseball

11 inning game.... PARKLAND WINS

Walk Off double wins the game

THE BAD:
PITCH COUNT parklands starter (name UNKNOWN) probally threw 120 pitches in 5 innings 50 was probally threw in the first inning giving three runs from walks

THE GOOD:
MVP OF THE GAME HATS OFF Landon Basham (Parkland High freshmen)

Basham the lead off batter and firstbasemen, went 5 for 7 with 4 doubles and 3 runs scored,no errors and 3 steals, my opinion jv player of the year, Landon younger brother of college pitcher Ryan Basham has the most sound swing i've seen from a jv player.
